Classical Project Method
... is based on a standardized process model that provides a linear sequence of project phases separated by milestones. Changes in project handling are avoided as far as possible, as they entail complex and often costly project adjustments.
Agile Project Method
... is based on an iterative-incremental approach. After each iteration, a potentially deliverable product increment is completed. The success of agile methods is based on excellent teamwork, short feedback loops, high responsiveness to change requests and continuous process improvement. The employees in the team have a high degree of personal responsibility.
